Are there any plugins that Webster Park does not allow?
In general, many WordPress plugins and themes suffer from a lack of quality control; even, in some cases, plugins which are published to the WordPress repository.
Other plugins and themes aren’t inherently flawed, per se, but nevertheless create systematic instabilities and performance issues within our particular environment. These can affect not only for your own website, but all of our clients whom share your server.
For this reason, we reserve the right to deactivate and remove problematic plugins and themes, with or without notice, including but not limited to those listed below.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know and we are happy to discuss in detail. We will consider making exceptions (at our discretion).
BACKUP PLUGINS
In general, backup plugins consume large quantities of disk space, CPU and in some cases bandwidth; this can degrade performance for all of our clients across the entire server.
At Webster Park, they’re also unnecessary. We make three, complete copies of your website, nightly and automatically. You can access your last thirty days backups at any time and should you need to revert to a previous state, just let us know and we’ll be happy to lend a hand.
